My Approach

Revolutionising Mindfulness Across Cultures

My approach to mindfulness is secular and inclusive, designed to resonate across diverse cultural and professional backgrounds.

I advocate for its adaptability outside traditional religious contexts, ensuring that it maintains its ethical roots for authentic and positive impacts.

In my workshops, speaking engagements, and publications, I’ve emerged as a leading voice in secular mindfulness, especially in Asia.

I promote mindfulness as a powerful tool for personal and professional development, bridging ancient practices with modern needs, and inspiring individuals and organisations to achieve enhanced well-being and success.

My Mindfulness Program

Mindfulness-Based Wellbeing Enhancement (MBWE) program

My innovative Mindfulness-Based Wellbeing Enhancement (MBWE) program is a testament to my leadership in the field.

This unique program combines the principles of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), and Positive Psychology.

This program provides a practical, evidence-based approach to improving mental, emotional, and physical well-being.

As the lead developer of the MBWE, I have introduced several unique contributions that have made a significant impact on the field of mindfulness and well-being.

  • Integrating Cultural Context: I’ve woven cultural context into the development of MBWE, ensuring it resonates with diverse groups by incorporating cultural sensitivity and relevance. This makes MBWE accessible and effective for a wide range of individuals.
  • Holistic Approach: My MBWE program adopts a holistic approach, tackling mental, emotional, physical, social, and spiritual well-being. This comprehensive method sets MBWE apart, equipping participants with a full set of tools to enhance their overall quality of life.
  • Emphasis on Positive Psychology: Beyond standard mindfulness practices, MBWE blends in principles from positive psychology and its advanced applications to foster resilience and flourishing. I’ve integrated techniques like gratitude exercises and appreciative interventions, boosting the program’s impact on wellbeing and happiness.
  • Focus on Sustainable Behavior Change: I designed MBWE to support long-lasting behaviour change, incorporating habit formation and maintenance strategies. This approach ensures that participants can embed mindfulness and well-being practices into their lives sustainably, beyond just temporary fixes.
  • Accessibility and Scalability: Acknowledging the need for easy access and broad application, I crafted MBWE to be adaptable across various settings, whether in-person or online. This flexibility allows participants to engage with the program and benefit from it in a way that fits their lifestyle.
